Please note:

Last Date to submit the forms is 16th October, 2023, late entries will not be entertained.

Kindly be present at the venue 30 minutes before your event. If two events are happening at the same time and you wish to participate in both, you're welcome to do so, the student can finish one event and then move on to the next.

The Event Schedule will be sent to every participant by November 7th, 2023, on their registered mobile number and email address.

Entry Fee: Forms to be submitted and participation fee of Rs.50/- per event to be paid using the QR code given above or at the school office.

For Group Events : participation fee is Rs. 100/- in events whose number of participants are two students and Rs. 200/- in events where number of participants are more than two.

GROUP EVENTS RULES AND REGULATIONS

Event 1. Folk Dance [Group Event] ( Dur : 6 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. Each participating school will depute as many student group participants (teams) not exceeding 12 student participants in each entry. Each group will have to fill a separate group entry form/s. Maximum of five accompanists/back-stage artists/helpers will be allowed. The dance should either be a tribal or a folk dance preferably from the Folk Dances of India and should not be a classical dance. The duration of the performance shall not exceed six minutes. The time computation shall start as soon as music/announcement starts or curtain is fully open, whichever is earlier. Amaximum of 5 minutes will be allotted to each group for setting /removal of their sets. Three copies of a brief note either in Marathi or in English giving details of the type/style of dance and the text meaning of the song, if any, should be submitted at the time of the registration on the day of the competition. Live accompaniment will be given due credit. The dance shouldn't be a Classical or *Bollywood dance

Event 2. Salad Dressing (Group Event) ( Dur : 45 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. Each group will have to fill a separate group entry form/s.Each team can have two members. Participants must bring the ingredients for salad dressing, i.e. vegetables in raw or boiled state. Peelers, knives and other instruments are to be brought by the participants and the cutting or peeling of the vegetables is to be done at the venue of the competition. Duration of this event is 45 minutes. Things needed for salad dressing and presentation, such as plates, trays and cloth etc., are to be brought by the participants. Diameters or the diagonals of the plates or trays should not be more than 16 inches.Costumes worn by the participants, for example, hand-gloves, headgears, aprons, will also be awarded points

Event 3. Flower Arrangement. ( Group Event) ( Dur : 30 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. Each team can have 2 participants.Each group will have to fill a separate entry form/s. The duration of the event will be 30minutes. Participants will have to bring all required materials. Except a flower vase or basket, no other artificial or decorative material will be permitted. Participants will be marked on creativity, originality, skill, variety of flowers used, colour combination, presentation, visual impact. Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Event 4. Vegetable Carving (Group Event) ( Dur : 45 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. Each team can have 3 members. Each group will have to fill a separate group entry form/s. Participants must bring the ingredients for vegetable carving, i.e. vegetables in raw or boiled state.Peelers, knives and other instruments are to be brought by the participants and the cutting or peeling of the vegetables is to be done at the venue of the competition. Duration of this event is 45 minutes. Things needed for vegetable carving and presentation, such as plates, trays and cloth etc., are to be brought by the participants. Event 5. Powerpoint Presentation(Group Event) ( Dur : 3 to 5 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. Each team shall comprise of two students, one student will run the presentation and the other student will give the explanation about the presentation(or switch roles midway). Each group will have to fill a separate group entry form/s. Duration of the Presentation will be from 3 to 5 minutes only. No extra time will be allowed. Number of slides to be prepared should not exceed 7. The presentation will be adjudged by a panel of judges. Judgement will be made, based on the content of the presentation, Confidence & Verbal Skill, creative use of the graphics, sound & video, colour scheme & background. There will be Question Round where two questions will be asked by the judges.

Event 6. Short Play ( Group Event) ( Dur : 6 min )
Each participating school can depute as many student groups in this category. The number of student-participants in any one-act-play shall not exceed nine. Each group will have to fill a separate group entry form/s. The total duration of each play shall not exceed 6 minutes. The time computation shall start as soon as the announcement is made or the curtain is fully open, whichever is earliest. For setting and dismantling the set/lighting arrangements a time period of 5 minutes before the play and 5 minutes after the play, shall be granted. The play can be in prose or in verse. No box sets shall be allowed.

Event 7. Bhakti Geet / Desh Geet (8) ( Dur : 6 min )

1. Song should be a Bhajan or Deshbhakti Geet.

2. Time allotted for each performance is 6 minutes.

3. Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.

4. The participants will be judged on the song selection, voice quality, clarity and rhythm.

5. Participants can use musical instruments like Harmonium, piano and tabla. (background music and zero track will not be permitted.)

6. Participants should submit a copy of the song at the time of competition.

Event 8. Face Painting ( 3 ) ( Dur: 45 minutes )
Competitors must bring all necessary equipment and products including paints, brushes, water buckets and any other tools and supplies needed to achieve your designs.

All artists must provide their own model or paint their own face.

Designs must be painted on the face. Hair styling/decoration will not be taken into considered for judging. Additional painted area on the neck and décolletage are allowed and can be considered, but is not mandatory.

Event 9. Choral Recitation Competition(20) ( Dur : 6 min )

What is Choral Recitation?

Choral Recitation is the interpretation of poetry or prose by a group, comprising anything from half a dozen to a hundred speakers. It involves a full and varied use of the individual voices that make up the group. There may be divisions of the whole group into light and dark voices, broken and unbroken, male and female, treble and so on. Individual voices may be used as solo.

Objective

The Choral Recitation aims at raising the level of interest and motivation among students in learning literature, building their confidence in using the language as well as enabling them to enjoy the beauty of the language. In addition, it also hopes to promote teamwork, discipline and creativity among the students.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Only prose/poetry pieces will be allowed. Copy of choral speaking texts must be submitted to the organizers two weeks prior to the competition.

ELIGIBILITY:

This is a team competition and not individual. Each school may send only one (1) team. All team members MUST be from the same school.

NUMBER OF ENTRANTS

Total number of competing teams is limited to 20.

The team must be accompanied by their teacher/parent throughout the competition. All participants must be in their school uniform during the competition.

PRESENTATION

i. Its duration should not exceed 6 minutes.

ii. Team members are to stand in 2-tiered rows with each row not more than 10 persons.

iii. The name of the poet/writer and the book from which the poem/passage is taken must be announced before the presentation.

iv. Microphones will NOT be used.

v. Any inclusion of singing, skit or physical movement should enhance and not dominate the presentation.

vi. Team members are not allowed to refer to any notes, printed or electronic materials or devices during the performance.

JUDGING CRITERIA

The judgment will be based on:

a. Choice

b. Clarity & Audibility

c. Ability to convey emotions through voice modulation, non-verbal communication techniques,

d. Facial Expression and body language.

e. Presentation

Points will be awarded according to the scoresheet. The decision of the judges is final and abiding.
